Nucle.OS replaces the dozen tools an agency juggles with one product and an AI assistant built in. 42 District took it from first commit to open sign-up in five months, and now runs on it as the first pilot customer.

Challenge and Context

A client-services business usually runs on a CRM, a project tool, a time tracker, an invoicing app, a proposal tool, email and a scheduler. Each holds part of the client. Nobody sees in one place what was sold, what is being delivered and what has been billed.

We lived with this at 42 District. Every handover between tools was a copy and paste, and every report meant opening five tabs. So we set ourselves a brief: build the one workspace we wished we had, for agencies, studios and freelancers who bill by the hour.

Objectives

  • One product from first lead to paid invoice, with every core module on every plan
  • AI that works from the workspace's own data and asks before anything leaves it
  • Security designed in from the first commit, not bolted on later
  • Clients paying straight into the agency's own Stripe account, with no platform fee
  • Launched in months, not years
  • Solution

    What we built

Sales. Companies, contacts, leads and prospecting with the agency's own Apollo key, a deal pipeline, and proposals with e-signature. When a proposal is accepted, Nucle.OS can create the invoice and the project in the same step.

Delivery. Projects, tasks, milestones, time tracking with weekly approval, and capacity planning so leads can see who is overbooked before it hurts.

Money. Invoices, retainers, expenses, multi-currency and profitability reports. Clients pay by card or Direct Debit through Stripe Connect, straight into the agency's own Stripe account.

Communication. Connected Gmail mailboxes, team chat, LinkedIn and WhatsApp in one inbox, booking pages, and video meetings with recording, transcripts and AI summaries.

Thames, the built-in AI. Thames answers questions from the workspace's own data and drafts emails, proposals and plans. It asks before anything leaves the workspace.

Open to other AI tools. A built-in MCP server with more than 70 tools lets Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps connect to a workspace and work with its data.

Access control. 31 modules, each switched on or off per role. Owners create custom roles, and external members only see the projects they are on.

    ‍

    How we built it

One founder, Samuel Pedro, built Nucle.OS with Claude Code as the engineering partner, with every change reviewed before it shipped. The result is about 2,300 commits and roughly 500,000 lines of TypeScript.

    • App: Next.js and React
    • Hosting: Vercel
    • Database, sign-in and files: Supabase
    • Payments: Stripe and Stripe Connect
    • Email: Resend and Gmail
    • Video: Daily
    • AI: Anthropic Claude and OpenAI

A release gate that does not get skipped

    1. Automated checks on every change, including about 14,900 tests and a code review
    2. A separate staging environment
    3. Production

    Security from day one

Each workspace's data is isolated from every other workspace at the database level. Before launch the app went through an independent penetration test, and security checks run on every release. Files are backed up off-site and restores are tested regularly. The company is ICO-registered and data is hosted in the EU.

    Features and Highlights

  • CRM, pipeline, proposals with e-signature and agreements in one place
  • Accepted proposals can create the invoice and the project automatically
  • Time tracking with weekly approval and capacity planning

  • Results and Impact

Nucle.OS went from first commit on 6 May 2026 to open sign-up on 9 October 2026, with 42 District as its first pilot customer.

    By the numbers

    • 5 months from first commit to open sign-up
    • About 2,300 commits and 500,000 lines of TypeScript
    • About 14,900 automated tests run on every change
    • 31 modules with per-role permissions

    What it shows

Nucle.OS is the same delivery model we use for clients, run at full scale on our own money: a small senior team, Claude Code doing the heavy lifting, and a release gate that does not get skipped.

If you run an agency, it is a platform you can use today. If you are a founder or a growing business, it is proof of what our Operations Platform delivers: the operating system for your business, in weeks not years, with AI built in.
